NOMOS Glashütte Releases Limited-Edition Ludwig Watches for Charity

German watchmaker NOMOS Glashütte has launched two new limited-edition automatic watches from its classic Ludwig collection, with funds raised for Doctors Without Borders. The timepieces, Ludwig neomatik and Ludwig neomatik 39, are each produced in a run of 250 units and aim to collectively raise 125,000 euros.

These watches extend NOMOS' ongoing partnership with the humanitarian aid organization, which began in 2012. A distinctive red Roman numeral "12" on the dial serves as a symbol of solidarity. A portion of the sales revenue will be directly donated to the German office of Doctors Without Borders.

The Ludwig collection is recognized for its classic and elegant design. The watches are powered by the in-house automatic caliber DUW 3001, manufactured in Glashütte, Germany. The Ludwig neomatik measures 36.4 mm in diameter, while the Ludwig neomatik 39 has a diameter of 38.5 mm. Both models feature an enamel-white dial where the red numeral "12" stands out against black hands and typography.

Doctors Without Borders was founded in Paris in 1971 and provides medical assistance in crisis zones across more than 70 countries. The organization was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1999 for its work. Over 11,000 NOMOS watches have previously been sold to support their efforts.
