Nona Biosciences and Medical University of Vienna to Develop Antibodies for Infectious Diseases
Nona Biosciences and the Medical University of Vienna have entered a research collaboration to advance fully human antibody development for infectious diseases. The agreement grants access to Nona's proprietary technology.
Nona Biosciences, a biotechnology company, announced on July 22, 2026, a research collaboration with the Medical University of Vienna (MedUni Vienna).
The partnership aims to accelerate the development of fully human antibodies for infectious diseases. Under the terms, the Ignaz Semmelweis Institute at MedUni Vienna will utilize Nona Biosciences' H2L2 Harbour Mice® technology platform. This platform enables the generation of human antibodies following immunization.
MedUni Vienna gains the right to use Nona's technology for antibody generation and subsequent development for research, diagnostic, and therapeutic applications. Nona Biosciences retains ownership of the H2L2 Harbour Mice® platform and associated intellectual property.
This collaboration is expected to enhance the ability to rapidly develop antibodies against emerging pathogens and improve preparedness for future pandemics, potentially leading to new treatments.
