NORD DRIVESYSTEMS is expanding its production capacity at its Aurich facility with a €3.2 million investment.
Getriebebau NORD GmbH & Co. KG has announced a significant investment of 3.2 million Euros to expand its operations in Aurich. This expansion will increase the assembly space dedicated to customer projects to a total of 3,000 square meters, addressing the growing demand for electronic components.
The Aurich site, which has been manufacturing electronic components, primarily frequency inverters, since the early 1980s, will see its production capacity more than triple. Following the expansion, the facility will be capable of producing over 400,000 customized units annually. An initial 50 percent capacity increase is scheduled for implementation in the second quarter of 2022.
Company representatives stated the investment reflects both the increasing importance of electronic components to NORD's product portfolio and a commitment to the Aurich location. The expansion is designed to meet rising global demand and support the company's growth objectives.
