NORD DRIVESYSTEMS has introduced a range of decentralized frequency inverter solutions designed to enhance efficiency and flexibility across industrial automation, packaging, food, and pump applications.
The new decentralized drive electronics, mounted directly on motors or in their immediate vicinity, offer a power range up to 22 kW. An integrated PLC allows for tasks to be performed closer to the drive, while extensive pluggability ensures flexible integration into various automation architectures.
According to NORD, the decentralized technology significantly reduces system design costs by enabling smaller control cabinets, minimizing wiring work, facilitating rapid commissioning, and simplifying maintenance. The modular design allows for easy expansion and adaptation, reducing overall system complexity and increasing energy efficiency.
The product lineup includes the NORDAC ON/ON+ (SK 300P) with integrated Ethernet for IIoT environments, the NORDAC LINK (SK 250E) for close-to-motor installation, the NORDAC FLEX (SK 200E) with a wide array of accessories, and the NORDAC BASE (SK 180E) for economical applications. All frequency inverters are designed for system-wide compatibility, providing uniform functionality and usability.
