NORD DRIVESYSTEMS Opens New Assembly and Service Facility in Texas
NORD DRIVESYSTEMS is expanding its U.S. production with a new assembly and service facility near Dallas, Texas. Operations are scheduled to begin this summer.

NORD DRIVESYSTEMS, a German manufacturer of drive systems, has established a new assembly and service location in McKinney, Texas. This expansion aims to bolster the company's production capacity and reduce delivery times, particularly for customers in the southern United States.
The new 7,900 square meter facility began operations in June, focusing on the assembly of unpainted gear units. The company plans to add painted gear units to its production line next year. When operating at full capacity, the plant is projected to assemble up to 200 units per shift.
This Texas location marks NORD DRIVESYSTEMS' fourth presence in the U.S. The company also operates facilities in Corona, California; Charlotte, North Carolina; and its U.S. headquarters in Waunakee, Wisconsin. Founded in 1965, NORD DRIVESYSTEMS has experienced consistent growth, exceeding one billion euros in sales for the first time in 2022.
"We are looking forward to the new beginning here in Texas, which will allow us to fulfill the increasing product requirements while keeping the customer service on a high level," stated Torsten Schultz, president of NORD USA. He also noted that the new assembly facilities will enable an expansion of gear unit manufacturing.
