Getriebebau NORD, a manufacturer of automation technology and industrial drive solutions, is significantly enhancing its digital offerings by expanding its myNORD customer portal into a full-fledged e-commerce platform. The initiative aims to make the purchasing and procurement process as efficient and transparent as possible for its customers.

The myNORD portal currently serves approximately 26,500 customer users worldwide, facilitating collaboration and simplifying joint business processes. A relaunch, scheduled for the end of 2024, will introduce extended functionalities, notably simplifying the configuration and ordering of NORD drive systems.

The revamped portal will feature enhanced interactive configuration support with explanatory texts and a plausibility check to ensure error-free assembly. Users will gain the ability to download all standard documentation, such as operating and maintenance instructions and spare parts lists, directly via serial, order, or QR code. Project management and ordering will be streamlined, with offers and data sheets presented in a modernized and clear layout.

Not all planned functional improvements will be available at launch. Future updates are slated to include options for reverse configuration based on serial or QR code, display of product availability directly within the configurator, and specialized functions for authorized service and sales partners. The company also plans to continuously expand the product range available through the platform.
