NORD introduces SAFOMI adapter for mixer applications

Getriebebau NORD GmbH & Co. KG has introduced a technical innovation for its industrial gear units, the SAFOMI IEC adapter, designed for large mixers and agitators.

The new SAFOMI (Sealless Adapter For Mixers) IEC adapter integrates the functions of a standard IEC adapter and an oil expansion tank into a single component. This design eliminates the need for hoses and separate oil tanks, and removes the leakage-prone and wear-susceptible shaft seal between the gear unit and the IEC cylinder.

Available for parallel gear units in sizes 7 to 11, covering maximum output torques from 25 to 75 kNm, the SAFOMI adapter, when combined with MAXXDRIVE® industrial gear units, offers increased operational reliability and reduced maintenance costs. The compact nature of this integrated solution also minimizes installation space.

NORD's MAXXDRIVE® industrial gear units are known for their robust performance in demanding environments.
