Bargteheide, Germany – Getriebebau NORD GmbH & Co. KG is presenting its drive solutions tailored for airport logistics at the Passenger Terminal Expo in Frankfurt from April 16 to 18, 2024. The specialist will showcase its systems designed for tray, belt, and roller conveyors, crucial components in airport baggage handling.
The demands of airport logistics, particularly the efficient transport of luggage items of varying weights over potentially long distances, require specialized drive technology. NORD has optimized a product series from its LogiDrive solution space to meet these specific requirements. The presented solutions are characterized by their lightweight construction and compact design, facilitating integration into airport infrastructure.
NORD is offering three system solutions within the LogiDrive family for this sector. The LogiDrive Basic utilizes an IE3 asynchronous motor with a decentralized NORDAC ON frequency inverter, providing low investment costs and a wide adjustment range. The LogiDrive Advanced features a high-efficiency IE5+ synchronous motor and a decentralized NORDAC ON+ frequency inverter, offering significant energy savings, reduced CO2 emissions, and enabling variant reduction. The LogiDrive Advanced with DuoDrive integrates the DuoDrive geared motor with the NORDAC ON+ inverter, adding benefits such as reduced maintenance requirements.
