At the FMB 2021 supplier exhibition for mechanical engineering in Bad Salzuflen, Germany, from November 10-12, 2021, Getriebebau NORD showcased its latest drive solutions.
The company's presentation focused on its patented DuoDrive geared motor and the high-efficiency IE5+ motor generation. These units achieve their high efficiency, which at times is significantly above efficiency class IE5, via a wide torque range, making them optimally suited for operation in the partial load range. The DuoDrive integrates the IE5+ synchronous motor into a single-stage helical gear unit, setting standards for performance, installation space, and version reduction.
In the frequency inverter sector, NORD presented the decentralized NORDAC ON inverter and the NORDAC PRO SK 500P control cabinet inverter. Both feature integrated multi-protocol Ethernet interfaces for setting protocols such as ProfiNet, EtherNet/IP, or EtherCAT via parameters. This eliminates the need for additional Ethernet modules, leading to version reduction, space savings, and cost advantages, while also benefiting service and maintenance.
