Getriebebau NORD GmbH & Co. KG has expanded its digital customer portal, myNORD, into a fully-fledged e-commerce platform. The updated portal is designed to enhance efficiency and transparency in the product procurement process for customers.

NORD reports that approximately 26,500 users worldwide currently utilize the existing myNORD portal. Key improvements focus on enhanced product configuration and ordering capabilities. The platform now features interactive configuration support, explanatory texts, and a plausibility check to ensure error-free product assembly.

New functionalities allow users to download standard documentation, including operating instructions and spare parts lists, directly from the portal using serial, order, or QR codes. Users can manage projects and directly contact NORD through myNORD. The portal's interface and user experience have been modernized for improved clarity and usability.

Future updates planned for NORD include displaying product availability within the configurator and introducing reverse configuration options. The service aims to provide efficient and transparent project management for customers on a 24/7 basis.
