Nordea assesses Danish real estate outlook ahead of MIPIM 2026
As international real estate stakeholders gather for MIPIM 2026, Nordea outlines current investment trends and market stability in Denmark.

Delegates from Nordea’s Large Corporates & Institutions division are attending the annual MIPIM real estate conference in Cannes to assess emerging market trends. The event serves as a primary hub for international investors, developers, and financial institutions to coordinate strategies for the year ahead.
Simon Stein of Nordea noted that the Danish property market remains attractive to international capital due to strong macroeconomic indicators, including low vacancy rates and consistent employment levels. While residential assets remain a primary focus, investor interest is broadening to include hotel properties and a stabilizing office sector.
Following the inflationary pressures of 2022 and 2023, market participants are demonstrating increased confidence by re-entering development projects. Nordea expects this trend to continue as asset managers adjust their strategies. Bank economists have dismissed concerns regarding a housing bubble in Copenhagen, citing robust household savings and wage growth as factors supporting the current market valuation.
The bank aims to leverage the conference to engage with existing clients and identify new financing opportunities, reflecting a broader effort to maintain liquidity and stability in the Nordic real estate environment.
