Nordea Bank's Norwegian branch changes registered business name

Nordea Bank Abp, Norwegian Branch, will change its registered business name to Nordea Bank Abp NUF, effective June 22, 2026. This name change is purely formal and applies only to the registered business name of the Norwegian branch.

The adjustment is made pursuant to an amendment to the Norwegian Business Enterprises Names Act. The law requires Norwegian-registered foreign enterprises to use the official name of the principal undertaking in its home jurisdiction, supplemented by the designation "NUF". Nordea Bank Abp is originally registered in Finland.

The organization number remains unchanged, and the name change will have no impact on customers or existing agreements with the bank. The bank emphasizes that this is solely an administrative name update in compliance with local regulations.
