Nordea launches financial package to assist first-time homebuyers
Nordea has introduced a new service package for first-time buyers, featuring eliminated loan fees and a dedicated savings program to facilitate property acquisition.
Nordea Bank Abp is rolling out a new service bundle, 'Min BoligDrøm', designed to lower the financial barriers for first-time homebuyers. The package eliminates origination fees for residential mortgage loans throughout 2026 and provides discounts on loans for cooperative housing units.
In addition to fee reductions, the bank is introducing 'BoligPlan', a savings strategy designed for individuals in the pre-purchase phase. This tool provides customers with a structured visual overview of their savings trajectory, coupled with professional financial advisory services to guide their path toward homeownership.
Ulrik Johannessen, head of personal banking at Nordea, stated that the initiative aims to simplify the buying process from the initial planning stage to the final transaction. Nordea has recently adjusted its lending rates several times during 2025 and has received positive ratings from local consumer advocacy groups for its existing mortgage products.
The service package also integrates buyer advisory services and investment options tailored to the individual’s financial situation.
