Nordea reports second-quarter revenue exceeding 3 billion euros
Nordea posted total income of over 3 billion euros for the second quarter of 2026, driven by growth in corporate lending and wealth management.

Nordea Bank Abp recorded total income exceeding 3 billion euros in the second quarter of 2026, marking a return to year-on-year income growth. The bank reported a 9 percent increase in both corporate lending and deposits compared to the same period in 2025. This performance is attributed to the bank’s diversified business model and its long-term strategic focus.
Assets under management (AuM) reached a record 505 billion euros, representing a 16 percent increase. Retail activity also saw positive trends, with mortgage volumes rising by 2 percent, led by growth in the Swedish and Norwegian markets. CEO Frank Vang-Jensen noted that while the broader economic climate remains uncertain, the bank has maintained flat costs, allowing for improved profitability margins.
The bank reported a return on equity of 15.9 percent. Supported by strong credit quality and a robust capital position, the board of directors has decided to implement semi-annual dividend payments, beginning with a mid-year disbursement in August. The bank maintains its growth objectives for the remainder of the year.
