The Nordic universal bank aims to reduce carbon emissions from its lending and investment portfolios by 40-50% by 2030, using 2019 as a baseline. Nordea will also reduce its internal operational emissions by at least 50% by 2030.
President and Group CEO Frank Vang-Jensen stated that the bank will achieve these targets by supporting and collaborating with customers towards sustainable development, with a focus on sectors that have a significant climate impact.
