Shipping company Norden has increased its net profit forecast for the full year 2026. The company now expects to achieve a net profit between USD 120 million and USD 190 million, an upward revision from its previous guidance of USD 70 million to USD 140 million.

The improved outlook is attributed to stronger-than-expected operational performance within its dry cargo business unit. Additional contributions came from vessel sales and reduced costs associated with delays in the Persian Gulf.

Norden had previously invested in repositioning its fleet to the Atlantic basin in anticipation of higher freight rates during the first quarter. This strategy proved profitable in the second quarter as Atlantic rates strengthened.

The company has navigated several months of supply chain disruptions, managing to keep related costs below earlier expectations.
