Nordlo Acquires IT Firm Ilder to Boost Software Development

IT services company Nordlo has bolstered its presence in Norway by acquiring IT firm Ilder. The transaction, which includes Ilder's approximately NOK 49 million in revenue, brings over 20 new employees and three new offices in Bergen, Stord, and Fauske into Nordlo's fold.

Ilder specializes in tailored software, integrations, and digital solutions. The company possesses strong expertise in areas such as design, user experience, software development, IT security, and project management. Its client base primarily consists of small and medium-sized enterprises in the energy, industrial, and maritime sectors.

Nordlo states that the acquisition supports the company's strategy to expand its offerings, particularly in software development and digitalization. Nordlo aims to leverage Ilder's expertise to undertake larger national client projects and solidify its position as the leading IT provider for SMEs in the Bergen region.

Nordlo has previously completed several acquisitions in Norway with the objective of doubling its revenue in the country within the next two to three years. The company emphasizes the importance of local presence and company culture in its collaborations. Ilder's CEO, Jon Arild Jacobsen, indicated that with Nordlo, they can take the next growth step, leveraging satisfied customers and engaged employees as key strengths.
