IT services company Nordlo has appointed Karolina Båvenholm as its new Head of Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A). She assumed her role on September 1, 2025, and joins Nordlo's group management.
Båvenholm's mandate is to lead the acquisition process and identify suitable, entrepreneur-driven companies that align with Nordlo's culture. Since its establishment in 2018, Nordlo has completed 17 acquisitions as part of its growth strategy. The company aims to strengthen its presence in Sweden and Norway and expand into European markets, including the Netherlands and Germany.
In 2024, Nordlo's owner FSN allocated SEK 1.5 billion for acquisitions. Båvenholm brings experience in investment banking and M&A, with previous roles at Lazard, Barclays, IVC Evidensia, and Aira.
"Nordlo continues to intensify its growth through acquisitions. The goal is to complete three to four acquisitions per year and achieve a balance between organic growth and acquisitions," stated Fredrik Almén, CEO of Nordlo. The company plans three to four acquisitions annually.
Nordlo is targeting significant expansion in several European markets, with Båvenholm's international experience being a key component of this strategy. The company expects to finalize at least one more acquisition before the end of the year.
