Nordlo's Science-Based Emissions Targets Approved by SBTi

IT services provider Nordlo has announced that its science-based climate targets have been approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), a global organization that promotes emissions reductions aligned with the Paris Agreement.

Nordlo has committed to significant emissions reductions across its operations and value chain. By 2030, the company aims to reduce its Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 75 percent and its Scope 3 emissions by 25 percent. The ultimate goal is to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across the entire value chain by 2040, requiring a 90 percent reduction in all emission categories.

Evelina Pallin, Chief Sustainability Officer at Nordlo, highlighted the company's role in supporting its clients. "Many of our customers are small and medium-sized enterprises, and we can be an important driving partner to help them reach their climate goals," Pallin stated. She emphasized that IT and technology play a central role in many businesses, and that working more efficiently and circularly is crucial for meeting climate targets.

The company plans to achieve its goals by exploring more efficient ways of working in collaboration with both customers and suppliers. Nordlo sees itself as a partner that can drive the transition by setting clear expectations and working together with its clients and suppliers.

SBTi, founded in 2015, is a collaboration between CDP, the UN Global Compact, the World Resources Institute (WRI), and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). It requires companies to set science-based targets for emission reductions.
