Nordnet appoints Michel Cupurdija and Aleksandar Sekulic as new CTOs

Nordic digital bank platform Nordnet has announced a leadership change in its technology division. Elias Lindholm has stepped down as the company's Chief Technology Officer (CTO), a role he held since 2021. Michel Cupurdija and Aleksandar Sekulic have been appointed as his successors and will jointly lead Nordnet's technology organization as co-CTOs.

Both Cupurdija and Sekulic have long tenures at Nordnet, having joined in 2014. They both possess backgrounds in software engineering and have previously collaborated closely as co-chief architects for Nordnet's technology platform. Cupurdija currently serves as Director of Engineering, while Sekulic is the Area Engineering Manager for Securities Brokerage.

"For many years, Elias has been a key player in Nordnet’s development. He has driven a transformation that laid the technical foundation for Nordnet’s growth journey in the 2020s. I want to thank him for his significant contributions and wish him the very best of luck in the future," said Rasmus Järborg, CEO of Nordnet.

Cupurdija and Sekulic will assume their new roles on June 26 and will subsequently join Nordnet's executive management team. This leadership transition underscores the company's focus on technological advancement within the competitive financial services landscape.
