Nordnet Customers' Trading Activity Increased Sharply in September
Nordnet customers executed 4.8 million trades in September, a nearly 90% increase year-over-year. Daily trading activity rose 10% compared to August.

Nordnet customers across Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland executed a total of over 4.8 million trades in September 2020. This represents a significant increase, with nearly 90% more transactions compared to September of the previous year.
The daily average number of trades increased by 10% in September compared to August. Nordnet attributes the rising activity trend among private investors to market volatility, including events like European banking sector concerns and US tech sector fluctuations, alongside general uncertainty from the pandemic's spread. However, central bank stimulus measures and optimism surrounding a potential COVID-19 vaccine have helped sustain market sentiment.
Trading volume saw substantial growth across all of Nordnet's Nordic markets. Sweden experienced an 81.8% rise in trades year-over-year, Norway saw an 108.2% increase, Denmark 111.0%, and Finland 104.5%. The total number of trades across all markets combined grew by 95.6%.
