Nordnet enters German market with phased launch
Nordic digital investment platform Nordnet begins operations in Germany on November 16, starting with a phased rollout before a full launch in 2027.

Nordnet is expanding its operations outside the Nordic region, with a formal market entry in Germany scheduled for November 16. The launch will be conducted in phases, initially granting access to customers registered on a waiting list before transitioning to a full market launch in early 2027.
Initial service offerings include securities accounts, savings accounts, and trading platforms for stocks, funds, and ETFs. Users will also gain access to the company’s digital investment community, "Nordnet Social." CEO Rasmus Järborg described the entry into Germany as a strategic move to provide retail savers with tools and market access typically reserved for professional investors.
The company has implemented a transparent pricing structure, charging a flat fee of €2.95 per order for securities transactions. Account maintenance and automated savings plans will be offered free of charge, with a 2 percent interest rate on savings deposits. To attract early users, Nordnet is offering a 12-month commission-free trading period and a 2.5 percent interest rate on savings for six months for those who register before January.
Arno Walter, Country Manager for Nordnet Germany, stated that the platform aims to provide clarity in pricing and product offerings to differentiate itself in the local financial services sector. The company will use the initial launch period to refine its services based on feedback from early-access users.
