Nordic digital bank Nordnet has published its annual and sustainability report for 2024, detailing a year of significant growth and strategic developments. The report indicates that customer savings capital reached SEK 1,032 billion by year-end, a 25 percent increase compared to the previous year.
The company attributes this growth to strong customer acquisition, high net savings, and positive market performance. Nordnet reported an adjusted operating profit before tax of nearly SEK 3.6 billion, a 13 percent increase year-over-year. Revenue also saw a 12 percent rise. The bank welcomed 256,300 new customers, surpassing the two million customer mark.
In terms of sustainability, Nordnet has launched a climate transition plan and joined the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). The report highlights a 39 percent reduction in the emission intensity of customer investments. A key focus is facilitating sustainable savings and investments, with 87 percent of fund capital invested in sustainability-categorized funds.
The report also emphasizes efforts towards greater savings equality. Women constituted 39 percent of new customers, and the Nordnet Female Network initiative saw significant growth. The proportion of women in senior management increased to 45 percent, and the board is composed of 50 percent women.
