NORD DRIVESYSTEMS is providing robust MAXXDRIVE industrial gear units designed for high-torque and demanding heavy-duty applications.

Waunakee, Wisconsin – The company's MAXXDRIVE industrial gear units are built to handle demanding applications such as bucket elevators, agitators, conveyor drives, mixers, cranes, hoists, and crushers. These units deliver output torques ranging from 132,000 to 2,495,900 lb-in and offer flexible integration across various systems with both parallel shaft helical and right-angle helical bevel gear designs.

The MAXXDRIVE XC series includes both parallel and right-angle industrial gear units. Parallel versions are available in 11 case sizes with 2- or 3-stage gear reductions, offering a power range of 2.0 to 8,075.0 hp. Right-angle versions provide 11 case sizes with 3- or 4-stage designs, covering a power range of 2.0 to 2,850.0 hp. Both configurations feature multiple mounting options and can be adapted for challenging environments, including specialized designs for agitators requiring increased bearing load capacities.

MAXXDRIVE XT industrial gear units are specifically designed for high-speed applications demanding significant thermal performance. These 2-stage, right-angle units offer performance up to 2,825.0 hp and torque from 132,800 to 663,800 lb-in. Their cooling features, including a finned housing and enhanced airflow, prevent overheating in demanding ambient conditions, such as those found in bulk material handling.

Additionally, MAXXDRIVE XD parallel units are developed for crane and hoist applications, providing an increased center distance and an optimized housing design for high overhung loads. The MAXXDRIVE XJ right-angle units are engineered for compact spaces requiring high performance and can be equipped with various couplings and mounting options for material handling tasks.

The company also offers an Endurance Package that includes protective measures to optimize drive performance and extend the service life of components in harsh environments, such as the grain industry. This package incorporates features like a desiccant filter and an oil sampling point for enhanced reliability.
