Norman Young Recognized by Marquis Who's Who for Construction Excellence

Norman Young, CEO of DCMC Construction LLC, has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who following his leadership that grew the company from inception to over $15 million in revenue within its first five years. DCMC Construction LLC, which focuses on state and federal contracts, has expanded its operations from Albany and Brooklyn, New York, to include a new office in Miami.

Young has a career spanning over 30 years in the construction industry in the Tri-State area. He acquired a broad technical skillset through work with various trade unions and projects, including electrical services for National Grid and a masonry apprenticeship focused on bridge construction in New York. His career progressed to roles as foreman and superintendent before becoming a project manager overseeing large commercial construction projects.

In 2012, Young founded DCMC Construction LLC to participate in a state program for minority contractors initiated by then-Governor Andrew Cuomo. The company exceeded the program's goals, adding $10 million in revenue through new business divisions. Since then, the company has undertaken significant projects, including the renovation of Guild House in Albany, work at John F. Kennedy International Airport, and the Williamsburg Bridge project.

Young attributes his success to his faith, humility, his parents' guidance, and his family's support. He is also active in his community through volunteer work and mentoring aspiring entrepreneurs. Looking ahead, he sees potential opportunities in real estate development.
