Norstella launches AI platform for patient data analysis
Norstella has launched a new AI-driven platform for real-world data analysis. The tool, Atlas Patient Analytics, aims to accelerate and refine the creation of patient cohorts for pharmaceutical companies.
To accelerate new medical breakthroughs, Norstella today launched its new AI-driven platform for real-world data analysis. The platform is built upon Norstella's proprietary, curated, and integrated real-world data asset, encompassing over 85 million electronic health record-covered lives and 350 million unique patients.
The platform's first tool, Atlas Patient Analytics, is designed to replace manual patient cohort building within pharmaceutical companies. Instead of teams spending hours on SQL queries and analyst support, they can now describe the patient group they need using natural language. The tool clearly displays all criteria, including code sets and logic, that influence the outcome, preserving this information for reusability and verification.
Kris Kaneta, Chief Product and Innovation Officer at Norstella, emphasized that the platform's goal is to provide transparent and rapid access to necessary data. "Every breakthrough therapy starts with understanding the right patients," Kaneta stated. "This shift is the difference between a therapy that reaches patients in need and one that does not."
Atlas Patient Analytics is specifically intended for real-world evidence (RWE), health economics and outcomes research (HEOR), and data analytics teams. It also enables commercial analytics and market access teams to estimate patient populations without lengthy data retrieval wait times. Norstella plans to launch several other similar AI tools for various use cases on its platform later this year.
