North Atlantic Salmon Fund UK Presents Inaugural Orri Award

North Atlantic Salmon Fund UK (NASF UK) has presented its inaugural Orri Award to supporters, partners, and representatives of river restoration projects. The event marked the establishment of the award and aimed to raise funds for community-led conservation efforts across the UK.

Jack Spees was recognized as the recipient of the first Orri Award. NASF UK stated that the award is intended to support local initiatives focused on enhancing the health of salmon river ecosystems.

Over £44,000 was raised during the event. Robert Sloss, Chairman of NASF UK, commented on the significance of the award and its objectives. A highlights reel from the evening, featuring speeches, was also released.

NASF UK's work centers on the conservation of salmon and their habitats within the United Kingdom. The Orri Award represents a component of the organization's strategy to bolster the role of local communities in safeguarding biodiversity.
