Northeast Georgia Medical Center Goes Live with Sectra's Cloud Imaging Solution
Northeast Georgia Medical Center has implemented Sectra One Cloud, integrating radiology, breast imaging, and cardiology into a single platform. The goal is to enable faster, more coordinated patient care.
Linköping, Sweden – September 24, 2026 – Sectra, an international medical imaging IT and cybersecurity company, announced that Northeast Georgia Medical Center (NGMC) has gone live with its enterprise imaging solution delivered as a cloud service, Sectra One Cloud. The initial deployment includes modules for radiology, breast imaging, and cardiology.
By consolidating imaging from multiple specialties onto a single platform, the hospital aims to facilitate easier access and sharing of patient studies among clinicians. This initiative is intended to provide faster and better-coordinated care for the region's patients and communities. Richard Wright, Executive Director of Imaging Services for NGMC, stated that the implementation has improved daily workflows by reducing the need to switch between applications and enabling cross-specialty consultation within the same system.
Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville serves as the flagship hospital for the Northeast Georgia Health System, which covers a population of over 1.5 million people. The cloud-based solution means Sectra assumes responsibility for system operations, maintenance, and upgrades, thereby reducing operational risks and supporting high availability. The modular design of the solution allows for future expansion into additional specialties.
Under a five-year contract, NGMC went live with Sectra One Cloud in the fourth quarter of Sectra's 2025/2026 fiscal year, with an expected annual volume of approximately 850,000 imaging exams. Isaac Zaworski, President of Sectra Inc., highlighted that the solution allows hospital staff to concentrate on patient care rather than system upkeep.
