Merchants on Yiwugo.com, the official website of the Yiwu Commodity Market, are experiencing a substantial increase in demand for cooling products, particularly from Europe, due to prevailing heatwaves. European customers' purchasing seasons, typically starting in March or April, have extended into the summer months, with many new buyers seeking small handheld fans.

While orders were historically fulfilled within a month, there is now frequent demand for delivery within approximately one week. This has compelled manufacturers to accelerate production. Lingpan Official Flagship Store, specializing in small fans and insulated cups, reports that its fan sales have doubled compared to last year, reaching approximately RMB 1 million.

Demand has also grown in India, with particular interest in panda-shaped fans and drinking cups. In Asian markets like Japan and South Korea, consistent summer heat has boosted demand for sun-protection products. Yiwugo's sales of sun-protection masks saw an increase of over 31% year-on-year, while face shields rose by over 72%.

Chen Jia, owner of Xiao Zhen and Xiao Mian Sun-Protection Products Workshop, has observed increased demand for sun-protection masks and face shields in Japan and South Korea. The company has developed materials offering high UV protection that withstand use and washing. Their annual procurement volumes have grown significantly, establishing them as a recognized brand locally.

The persistent heat across the Northern Hemisphere has created new cross-border consumer demand, enabling Yiwugo merchants to capture global market shifts. The strong sales of small fans in Europe and rising demand for sun-protection products in Asia highlight consumer needs for heat relief and the capacity of Yiwu manufacturers to meet this through product innovation and rapid fulfillment.
