Norton Motorcycles to launch new 450cc urban motorcycle

Norton Motorcycles is expanding its lineup with a new 450cc urban model, marking a shift for the historic British brand into a new market category. The motorcycle is slated for a 2027 market release, with the official model name to be disclosed closer to the launch date.

The bike features a 454cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine producing 45 Nm of torque. Designed for agility and modern performance, the vehicle is built on an aluminum frame and includes an 8-inch TFT touchscreen for digital connectivity. This model represents the company's efforts under TVS Motor Company’s ownership to blend traditional design principles with contemporary urban requirements.

Sudarshan Venu, Chairman of TVS Motor Company, stated that the move is designed to make the Norton brand experience accessible to a younger generation of riders. This announcement follows the recent introduction of the Manx and Atlas model lines, which have begun delivery in European markets.

The development is supported by ongoing investments in Norton’s Solihull facility and TVS Motor's global research and development centers. The company is also working with Foster + Partners to redesign its global retail footprint to accompany its expanding product range.
