Norway joins CAVS framework for Patria 6x6 armoured vehicle orders

Helsinki – Norway has officially joined the Patria-led Common Armoured Vehicle System (CAVS) framework agreement, paving the way for serial orders of Patria 6x6 armoured vehicles. The nation initially joined the program in 2025.

The CAVS program aims to provide modern 6x6 wheeled armored vehicles to European and NATO member states, based on the Patria 6x6 vehicle platform. Patria is already supplying vehicles to several other CAVS nations, including Finland, Sweden, Latvia, Denmark, and Germany, with vehicles also in operational use in Ukraine. Negotiations with the United Kingdom regarding further phases are currently underway.

"Norway's signing of the CAVS framework agreement is a tangible step forward in multinational CAVS cooperation," stated Jussi Järvinen, Executive Vice President of Patria’s Protected Mobility business area. "The framework enables member nations to move fast, buy smart, and sustain locally, delivering a consistent, interoperable protected mobility capability while strengthening security of supply through shared industrial cooperation."

Through the CAVS program, participating nations can acquire modern armored vehicles in a timely and cost-effective manner. The common approach facilitates shared procurement, coordinated product development, and efficient life-cycle management. The program remains open to new European and NATO countries with comparable 6x6 armored vehicle requirements.
