Norwegian Fishing Village Museum in Å adjusts winter operations

The Norwegian Fishing Village Museum in Å continues to operate throughout the winter months, offering daily access to its facilities, including the museum, shops, and café. Guided tours are currently scheduled for Tuesdays through Saturdays during January and February.

Museum Nord has advised visitors to exercise caution due to winter conditions, noting that local roads and pathways can be icy. Guests are encouraged to wear appropriate footwear, such as crampons, to navigate the site safely, given the area’s exposure to coastal winds.

Operational updates follow a storm in late December that caused damage to the roof of the historic 'Old Shop.' The museum has confirmed that professional repairs have stabilized the structure, ensuring the area is safe for visitors. Comprehensive restoration work on the roof is scheduled for a future date.
