WALTHAM, Mass. – Nova Biomedical announced on July 24, 2026, that it has completed a transaction involving certain assets of NanoCellect, a provider of microfluidic cell sorting technology. This move expands Nova Biomedical's capabilities in cell line development.
The acquisition strengthens Nova Biomedical's cell selection expertise and its ability to support biopharmaceutical workflows from early development through manufacturing. The combined technologies aim to provide a more integrated approach to cell line development, linking cell selection, single-cell isolation, and clone verification.
NanoCellect's WOLF G2 cell sorting platform utilizes a gentle, microfluidic-based method for cell selection and isolation. It complements Nova Biomedical's existing Solentim portfolio, which covers clone generation, verification, and growth analysis. The company stated this integration is expected to accelerate cell line development timelines and improve clone selection outcomes.
Nova Biomedical also offers analytical solutions for cell culture monitoring, including metabolite analysis, osmolality measurement, and cell counting and viability. These tools are intended to support process development and production scale-up.
The company believes the addition of NanoCellect's technology is a significant step in its strategy to provide a more connected portfolio of technologies that enhance continuity and decision-making across the entire bioprocessing lifecycle.
