NovaAir Industrial Gases Deploys Scania Super Trucks for ADR Transport in Malaysia

NovaAir Industrial Gases Sdn Bhd has set a new standard in Malaysia by becoming the first company to deploy Scania Super trucks for Bulk ADR Transport. The new fleet is equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), including features such as Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) and Lane Departure Warning (LDW).

Charlene Quek, Managing Director of NovaAir Industrial Gases, stated that the trucks meet ADR safety standards and enhance delivery safety while reducing operational risks. "These advanced safety features not only make our deliveries safer and more secure, but also reinforce our commitment to protecting lives and reducing operational risks," Quek commented.

The Scania Super P420A6X2NA chassis is designed for ADR vehicle types and includes features like a speed limiter and an insulated electrical system. The trucks comply with Euro 5 emission standards and offer up to an 8% improvement in fuel efficiency with reduced CO₂ emissions.

NovaAir Industrial Gases will also utilize Scania Digital Services, including the Scania Fleet Management System for real-time monitoring and driver evaluations, enabling operational optimization and maintenance planning. Scania provides digital tools like the Scania Driver app and Scania ProDriver service to promote fuel-efficient driving habits.

Scania Malaysia will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of the trucks, ensuring maximum uptime and offering 24/7 Scania Assistance through its extensive network.
