Novo Nordisk A/S has repurchased shares as part of an ongoing program totaling up to DKK 15 billion. The company provided updated transaction details from early July.
Bagsværd, Denmark – Novo Nordisk A/S has continued its share repurchase program, a component of its larger commitment to buy back stock over a 12-month period. The program, initiated on May 6, 2026, is part of an overall plan to repurchase up to DKK 15 billion worth of shares, which began on February 4, 2026.
The current phase of the repurchase program, scheduled to run until February 1, 2027, allows Novo Nordisk to buy back B shares up to a value of DKK 11.2 billion (approximately $1.6 billion USD). The company released updated transaction data for purchases made between July 6 and July 10, 2026.
During the recent trading period, Novo Nordisk repurchased approximately 195,000 B shares daily. The average purchase price ranged between DKK 320.62 and DKK 327.75 per share, with total transaction values for the specified days exceeding DKK 315 million.
Since the program's commencement on February 4, 2026, Novo Nordisk has acquired a total of over 9.2 million B shares, representing a transaction value of approximately DKK 2.7 billion. The company currently holds about 41.17 million B shares as treasury stock, accounting for roughly 0.9% of its total share capital.
