NTT DATA Business Solutions assists SAP customers with EU Packaging Regulation

Bielefeld, Germany – NTT DATA Business Solutions, a global SAP Platinum partner for the SME sector, is updating its SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) solution, Sustainability Data Simplified. The enhancement aims to assist companies in complying with the EU's new Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), which has its first major compliance deadline in August 2026.

The regulation mandates that companies demonstrate compliance for relevant packaging before products are placed on the EU market. Key requirements include chemical compliance, conformity assessments, and defined responsibilities across the supply chain. NTT DATA Business Solutions' solution integrates these obligations directly into SAP systems, which many businesses use for production and logistics management.
