Nubia Launches NaviX Ultra, Touted as World's First AI-Smart Phone
Chinese technology firm Nubia has unveiled the NaviX Ultra, marketed as the world's first AI-smart phone. The device's name is to be pronounced "Nai-vei Aik-ses".

Chinese technology company Nubia has officially launched the NaviX Ultra, which it is promoting as the world's first AI-smart phone. The company aims to integrate advanced artificial intelligence capabilities deeply into the device's functionality.
During the launch event, Nubia's product general manager, Zhang Lei, provided guidance on the pronunciation of the new model's name. The main part of the name, "NaviX", should be read as "Nai-vei Aik-ses", according to the company. This clarification is intended to standardize the branding for the device.
The NaviX Ultra's debut coincides with the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference and Global AI Governance High-Level Meeting, scheduled to take place in Shanghai from July 17 to 20. This event is expected to feature numerous product launches and showcase over 3,000 cutting-edge exhibits from various AI companies.
Nubia's parent company, ZTE, recently announced that it had completed the filing process for large AI models related to intelligent agents in China. This move suggests a broader industry trend towards incorporating sophisticated AI features into consumer electronics and mobile devices.
