Nubia Launches Neo 5 GT Special Edition with Dual Active Cooling
Smartphone brand nubia has introduced the Neo 5 GT Special Edition, featuring a dual active cooling system combining liquid and air cooling for enhanced gaming performance.

SHENZHEN, China – July 9, 2026 – nubia has released its Neo 5 GT Special Edition smartphone, designed to provide a "professional-grade gaming experience." The device targets young gamers and tech enthusiasts seeking high-end mobile gaming performance.
A key feature of the new model is its AquaCore cooling system, which integrates both liquid and air cooling technologies. According to the company, this dual active cooling setup is unique in its class. The liquid cooling component utilizes a server-grade coolant and a micropiezoelectric pump to circulate the fluid, aiming for efficient heat transfer away from the core components. This system is supplemented by an active air cooling fan and an expanded heat dissipation area totaling 33,652 mm².
The Neo 5 GT Special Edition also includes high-sensitivity Neo Triggers 5.0 with a 3,049 Hz touch sampling rate, promising low latency for responsive in-game controls. The device is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chip and up to 24GB of RAM, with a 6,210 mAh dual-cell battery supporting 80W fast charging.
nubia highlighted the phone's flat back design and 90-degree charging cable for comfort during gaming sessions. The display is a 6.8-inch 1.5K AMOLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. The company also integrated an AI gaming assistant, Demi 2.0, into the device.
The ZTE vice president, Bai Keke, stated that the phone's cooling system merges technologies from esports PCs and AI servers. He emphasized nubia's commitment to consistent performance through thermal management, building on previous innovations like an integrated fan launched in early 2026.
