nubia has launched its Neo 5 GT Special Edition smartphone, featuring the AquaCore Cooling System which combines liquid and air cooling technologies.
Shenzhen, China – nubia has introduced the Neo 5 GT Special Edition, a new smartphone targeted at gamers and young tech enthusiasts. Announced on July 9, 2026, the device's primary feature is its AquaCore Cooling System, which integrates liquid and air cooling components for active thermal management.
The liquid cooling system utilizes a server-grade coolant and a piezoelectric micropump to ensure continuous fluid circulation, efficiently transferring heat away from the phone's core components. This is augmented by a built-in fan and a Through-Flow Duct design to accelerate heat dissipation. The total heat dissipation area on the device is 33,652 square millimeters, combining vapor chamber, graphite, and liquid cooling technologies.
The smartphone includes 550Hz Neo Triggers 5.0 with a 3049Hz touch sampling rate, reportedly achieving a sub-5.5ms latency for responsive gameplay. It is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset and equipped with a 6,210mAh battery supporting 80W fast charging. The device also offers up to 24GB of RAM.
Further enhancing the gaming experience, the Neo 5 GT Special Edition features a 6.8-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and high peak brightness. It also incorporates stereo speakers and an X-axis linear motor. The AI Copilot Demi 2.0 feature is integrated to provide in-game assistance and communication support.
The nubia Neo 5 GT Special Edition is scheduled for a global release this July in multiple storage configurations. The company has committed to providing five years of software updates for the device.
