nuHarbor Expands Splunk Services With New mXDR Offering
Cybersecurity provider nuHarbor introduces a new mXDR service tailored for state and local governments managing security across multiple, disparate systems.
nuHarbor, a managed cybersecurity services provider, is expanding its Splunk services portfolio with a new Managed Extended Detection and Response (mXDR) offering. The new service is specifically designed for state and local government organizations that manage their security operations across a mix of platforms, agencies, and legacy tools.
Many state governments face challenges as individual agencies procure their security tools on their own timelines and budgets, leading to visibility gaps between systems not designed to interoperate. nuHarbor's new Splunk mXDR offering aims to close these gaps by centralizing detection, triage, and response across a state's existing technology investments, rather than requiring agencies to standardize on new tools.
"States don't have the luxury of a clean-sheet security architecture – they inherit 20 years of agency-by-agency purchasing decisions across dozens of individual agencies, each with its own procurement cycle," said Justin Fimlaid, CEO of nuHarbor. "The security industry has to meet states where their technology actually is, not where a vendor wishes it was."
The service is designed for easy adoption by lean state security teams. Approved response playbooks can automatically perform routine actions, such as threat containment or firewall changes, without requiring immediate analyst intervention. For higher-risk decisions, a designated approver can review and authorize the action before it is executed.
