Numeracle secures $28M to address business call blocking
Numeracle has raised $28 million to expand its identity verification platform, which helps businesses prevent their calls from being incorrectly flagged as spam.

McLean, Virginia-based Numeracle has secured $28 million in a funding round led by Edison Partners. The company provides a verification service that links businesses to the phone numbers they use, allowing telecommunications carriers to distinguish legitimate enterprise communication from automated spam calls.
Since its inception in 2018, the company has raised approximately $34.8 million. With a workforce of roughly 85 employees, Numeracle has reached profitability. The new capital is earmarked for international expansion and the development of verification tools for platforms beyond traditional voice calls, including chat apps and AI-driven customer service interfaces.
As AI makes it increasingly easy for fraudsters to create legitimate-looking business fronts, carriers have implemented more aggressive filtering systems. This has created a secondary problem where legitimate businesses are blocked from reaching their customers. Numeracle currently serves about 4,000 clients across industries such as healthcare, finance, and government, providing them with the means to ensure their identity is recognized by network screening systems.
