Nuritas and Liverpool John Moores University Launch Clinical Study on Healthy Aging
Nuritas and Liverpool John Moores University have initiated a clinical study to assess the impact of bioactive peptides on functional strength and healthy aging in adults aged 60-85.

Irish biotechnology company Nuritas is collaborating with Liverpool John Moores University on a new clinical study examining the effects of its bioactive peptide, PeptiStrong®, on functional strength, muscle health, and longevity in adults aged 60 to 85.
The study, led by Professor Graeme Close, aims to provide scientific evidence for how PeptiStrong® can support muscle health and promote healthy aging. PeptiStrong® is derived from peas and has shown potential in previous research for muscle regeneration.
This collaboration seeks to understand the role of specific bioactive peptides in mitigating age-related decline and maintaining vitality. Nuritas utilizes artificial intelligence and machine learning to discover and develop novel bioactive ingredients.
The research is expected to yield data that could inform future product development for dietary supplements and functional foods targeting the aging population. The findings will contribute to the growing body of evidence on the benefits of targeted peptide supplementation.
