Nurminen Logistics Plc is enhancing its block train service between Sweden and Italy by adding a second weekly departure, effective the first week of October 2026. The company will also deploy a more versatile wagon fleet, increasing the service's flexibility. This expansion allows for the transport of a wider range of container types and includes provisions for dangerous goods.

The service, launched earlier this year, connects the Castelguelfo terminal near Parma in Northern Italy with the Frövi terminal in central Sweden. The company states the rail transit time is competitive with other transport modes.

The increased capacity and broader transport options are intended to meet growing demand for European freight, particularly for containerized goods moved by rail.

Nurminen Logistics aims to strengthen its position in the European logistics market by offering alternatives to conventional transport methods.
