NUS Enterprise rebrands as NUSX, launches AI tool
Singapore's National University venture arm, NUS Enterprise, has rebranded to NUSX. The change includes launching an AI tool for patent analysis and establishing new overseas outposts to commercialize university research.

NUS Enterprise, the venture arm of Singapore's National University, has rebranded as NUSX. The move, announced at its A5X event on September 24, aims to accelerate the commercialization of university research through a new artificial intelligence tool and expanded international presence.
The new AI tool, named Nova and developed with Zima Labs, analyzes patents, invention disclosures, and research data. Its purpose is to identify opportunities for licensing, partnerships, and investments in technologies originating from NUS.
NUSX is expanding its global reach by establishing a new outpost in Munich and planning another in Shanghai. This follows the launch of a Silicon Valley outpost in July 2026, signaling a strategic focus on international growth.
The entity also announced a partnership with Munich-based UnternehmerTUM, a center for innovation and business creation. NUSX has set a target to generate US$1 billion in financial returns from its ventures by 2035.
