Nuveen Completes Acquisition of Schroders
Nuveen has finalized its acquisition of Schroders, creating a combined entity with $2.6 trillion in assets under management. The firm focuses on active management across public and private markets.

Nuveen has completed its acquisition of Schroders, merging two established asset management firms. The combined entity is positioned as one of the world's leading active public-to-private asset and wealth managers, overseeing $2.6 trillion in assets under management.
The merged firm is noted as the only manager holding a global top-ten position in active equities, active fixed income, and private markets. Its operations span over 40 markets, with a significant presence in the US, UK, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.
The acquisition is expected to enhance investment performance and deliver tailored client solutions. The company plans to continue investing in capabilities, people, and client propositions, supported by TIAA as a long-term strategic shareholder.
Schroders will continue to operate separately within Nuveen for the next 12–18 months. The combined firm intends to establish a unified investment platform covering both public and private markets. London will serve as the combined entity's non-US headquarters.
