Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang encouraged European companies and policymakers to aim higher in technological development and investment, citing Nscale and challenger Fractile as examples of potential.

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has urged European companies and policymakers to set more ambitious goals in technological development and investment. Speaking in London on Wednesday, Huang emphasized the need for grander visions and commitment, mentioning Nscale, a company focused on AI and semiconductors, and the challenger Fractile as examples.
Huang stated that Europe possesses the potential for innovation but requires courage and long-term commitment. He drew parallels with the United States, where he perceives a greater willingness to undertake large and risky technological endeavors. The Nvidia chief stressed that European companies can succeed on the global stage, but this necessitates calculated risks and investment in research and development.
The CEO of semiconductor giant Nvidia also highlighted Europe's challenges in competing with the US and China. However, he believes Europe has the opportunity to become a significant player in the development of artificial intelligence and other technology sectors if it invests strategically and boldly supports new ventures.
Huang specifically pointed to the deeptech sector, where he sees substantial potential in Europe. He emphasized that significant rewards require substantial stakes, and that European firms often lack this risk-taking appetite. Nevertheless, Huang expressed hope that the situation will evolve and that European companies will begin striving for more substantial international successes.
