Nvidia CEO: More AI use leads to more hiring

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has asserted that the expanding use of artificial intelligence (AI) in workplaces will ultimately lead to the creation of new jobs. In a recent interview, Huang stated that the development of AI agent systems necessitates advanced skills and creativity, thereby driving demand for new software engineers.

Contrary to prevailing concerns about AI-driven job displacement, Huang suggests that the implementation of this technology requires substantial effort and attracts novel talent. He likened the process of building AI agents to traditional coding, highlighting the imaginative requirements and fresh approaches the technology enables.

Huang has previously criticized the use of AI as a justification for layoffs, calling it a "lazy" excuse. He questioned the logic of companies citing AI as a reason for redundancies when the technology has only recently become productive and useful.

This perspective contrasts with that of several other tech leaders who have voiced concerns about AI's potential to displace workers. Some companies, such as Meta and Oracle, have linked AI integration to workforce reductions, while figures like former Google CEO Eric Schmidt and Amazon's Andy Jassy have warned of broader risks.
