Nvidia GeForce Game Ready driver 617.42 is now available, providing optimizations for upcoming titles and fixes for known issues. The update enhances performance for games supporting DLSS and RTX technologies.
Nvidia has officially launched its latest GeForce Game Ready driver, version 617.42. This update focuses on delivering optimized performance for a range of new and upcoming video games, particularly those featuring support for Nvidia's Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) and real-time ray tracing (RTX) technologies.
The driver includes specific game optimizations for titles such as "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4," "Star Wars: Galactic Racer," "Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Awakening," "Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024," and "Valor Mortis." These enhancements aim to improve graphical fidelity and frame rates for players.
In addition to performance boosts, the 617.42 driver addresses stability issues reported by users. A notable fix resolves a crash problem encountered in "Assassin's Creed: Shadows" after extended gameplay sessions on the previous driver version (616.56).
The new Game Ready driver is compatible with all Nvidia GeForce graphics cards and can be downloaded via the NVIDIA App or through Nvidia's official website. This release ensures gamers have the latest performance enhancements and bug fixes for a smoother play experience.
