Nvidia Releases Security Update for Older Graphics Cards

Nvidia has released security update 582.78 for older GeForce GTX 700, 900, and 10-series graphics cards, as well as Tesla models. The update addresses 114 vulnerabilities.

Technology company Nvidia has issued security update 582.78 for older graphics card models. The update targets cards based on Maxwell, Pascal, and Volta architectures, including the GTX 700, GTX 900, and GTX 10-series, as well as professional cards like the Tesla V100 and Titan V.

While Nvidia no longer provides regular "Game Ready" driver updates for these older GPUs, the company continues to release security patches periodically. This latest update is available for Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems.

The update fixes a total of 114 vulnerabilities within the display drivers and vGPU components. Of these, 76 are classified as high severity and 37 as medium severity. The update file size is 912.74 MB.

The update applies to various models, including GeForce GTX 745, GTX 750, GTX 750 Ti, GTX 950-GTX 980 Ti, GTX 1050-GTX 1080 Ti, GT 1030, GT 1010, and professional cards such as Titan V, Titan Xp, Titan X, and GeForce GTX Titan X.
