Nvidia Reportedly Seeking Chinese Partner for AI-Powered 6G Base Stations

Nvidia is reportedly seeking a Chinese base-station maker to combine its AI computing platform with wireless network equipment for 6G systems aimed at overseas markets, according to sources in the communications supply chain.

The report indicates that Nvidia has been in contact with Shenzhen-based Jiaxian Communications since 2025, and that work on the project has been ongoing for over six months. The goal is to have trial networks operational by 2027 or 2028.

Neither the partnership nor a final product has been publicly confirmed. Technology companies are heavily investing in the development of 6G, a successor to 5G, aiming for higher speeds and lower latency.

This potential collaboration highlights the global race to develop next-generation mobile infrastructure and the strategic importance of partnerships in the competitive semiconductor and telecommunications industries.
